Contemporary Loft
New York-based West Chin Architects create a relaxed cosmopolitan interior for a Tribeca neighbourhood apartment utilising furnishings elements from Boffi. Taking advantage of natural light supplied by ample window frontage done in a classical grid format, the open-plan layout works around existing columns to create a cool ambience. The modular Xila kitchen system from Boffi, with its kitchen island unit sporting a light coloured marble countertop, matches the neutral white and grey tones in the adjoining living area to convey a dressed down modernist aesthetic.
The streamlined configuration of the Xila kitchen system, with its handle-free doors on base and wall units, is featured in a sober white tone to impart a minimalist feel to the interior. This concept extends to the bathroom, where wall-mounted Xila cabinets from Boffi complement the light-filled space highlighted by a freestanding bathtub done in a crisp white hue. The suspended bathroom storage units without handles mirror the wall-mounted shelving in the residence’s living room to create an uncluttered environment that transmits a feeling of calm and relaxation.
